BS 100 -The Book of Acts: 6 Credits. This exciting birth of the Christian Church as it spreads from Jerusalem to Rome focuses on the relationship of Acts to the Gospel and discusses the distinctive ministries of Peter, Paul and the other prominent leaders of the early church.
 
GE 101 -Basic Writing: 3 Credits. A course in basic writing skills and concepts of grammar; particular emphasis is placed on paragraph organization, sentence structure, grammar and usage skills.
 
BS 102 Bible Survey: 8 Credits. A survey of the entire Bible - Old and New Testaments. This includes a study of the distinctive message, the characters and the events of each book in their relation to the historical sequence and some applications of Old Testament teaching to contemporary Christian living.
 
BS 103 - Christian Growth & Development: 3 Credits. Teaches foundational principles to help new converts to practically apply Christian truths to his/her Christian lifestyle. It is recommended for new converts and teachers of new converts.
 
BS 105 - Christian Workers: 6 Credits. Designed to prepare the believer for various aspects of Christian ministries. It helps the student to develop personal skills as a witness for Jesus Christ. Stresses door-to-door Evangelism, Hospital Ministry, Tract Ministry and Open-Air Meetings with practical on the job training.
 
BS 107 - Counseling in the Local Church I: 3 Credits. Provide an overview of a biblical approach to lay Christian Counseling and will detail a model developed by CBI&S for training and using Christian Counselors in the church.
 
BS 107 - Counseling in the Local Church II: 3 Credits.  (Prerequisite Counseling I) In-depth study of the psychology of Counseling. Will provide both professional and lay counseling in particular areas: Teens, emotionally and mentally ill, marriage, sex problems and case studies.
 
BS 108 - The Book of Daniel: 6 Credits. A verse by verse exegesis of the apocalyptic book. An examination of the background history of the Babylonian Religion in view of Monotheistic Judaism.  Students will discover a new appreciation for Bible Prophecy as it relates to the Book of Revelation and is end-time fulfillment.  A thorough study of the man Daniel and his associates of that day.  
 
BS 109 Doctrine And Cults I: 3 Credits. Exposing and critiquing a variety of cultic systems with attention centering on the traditional major cults as well as other significant contemporary religious systems. an analysis will include the personalities, histories, methods and doctrines of these religious groups.  
 
BS 110 Doctrine And Cults II: 3 Credits. A critical study of the historical and theological origins and developments of cultic and occult phenomena in contemporary religious settings. Students will forge an apologetic critique enabling constructive evangelistic encounter with cultic and occult adherents and consider Biblical models of spirituality, which appeal to them.  
 
GE 111 English:  6 Credits. A course in essential English Grammar and usage, including sentence diagramming. It is designed to improve communication skills through a study of basic essay structure.
 
TH 112 Evangelism: 8 Credits. This course is designed to familiarize serious-minded students with Evangelistic work. Students will learn the essential of Sermon preparation and delivery. Research studies in Hermeneutics and Systematic Theology, ideal for those who have a call to the ministry.
 
BS 113 Faith Dynamics I: 3 Credits. A concentrated study of what the essence of true faith is as it relates to the believer in every aspect of life. The student will learn divine principles of faith that will cause one to live this life in harmony with God and His Word. This course is a must for those who want to build their faith in God. 
 
BS 114 Faith Dynamics II: 3 Credits. This course will give a concise Biblical prescription for fear, demonic oppression, physical healing, and total peace of mind. The student will discover a new appreciation for life once he discovers God's formula for happiness. Discussions in: Fasting and Prayer, The Power of the Tongue, Learning to Confess and Posses. 
 
BS 115 General Bible I: 8 Credits. (Prerequisite Bible Survey) An objective, detailed study of the Old and New Testaments with emphasis on the personal and divine life, covenants and dispensations. This course also covers the introduction to Typology, Symbolism and Homiletics. A New Testament aspect of this study gives the political, cultural and religious background needed to understand the events in the life of Jesus.
 
BS 116 General Bible II: 8 Credits. (Prerequisite General Bible I) An advanced study of the Bible. This course will introduce predictive prophecy with in-depth research of Old Testament prophets and prophecies. Students will study the Law, the Writings, the Psalms, and the doctrine of the Bible.
 
BS 117 Manners And Customs Of The Bible:3 Credits.  A study of the practices of everyday life in the ancient Near Eastern and the first-century world that illuminates and explains the Old and New Testament.
 
 
BS 119 The Book of Hebrews: 6 Credits.  An analytic study of Hebrews with attention to the theme of Christ's superiority with application to the life of the believer in the new order. The student will study the interpretation of this creative book against the background of first-century Jewish institutions.  

BS 120 Intercessory Prayer: 6 Credits. The Church has been called by Jesus, Himself, a House of Prayer in Matt. 21:13. Therefore, it is the purpose of this course to provide information on the principle and depth of prayer. Through a thorough study and practical application, students will be equipped with the desire, discipline
and delight to fulfill His call, as a house of prayer. This course will be broken down into two basic components: There will be one hour of instruction on prayer, followed by one hour of cooperative prayer and intercession.  
 
BS 122 How To Study The Bible I: 3 Credits. This course focuses on mastering the tools and techniques for personal Bible study. Techniques include learning how to do the following: survey a Bible book, research historical backgrounds, produce topical and biographical studies, analyze passages and individual words.
 
TH 123 How To Study The Bible II: 3 Credits.  (Prerequisite-HSB I) This is an advanced interpretation course, which assumes the knowledge of the material covered in Inductive Biblical Literature.
 
TH 126 Post Graduate I: 8 Credits (Prerequisite GBII)- This course offers a critical examination of comparative religion, and a detail study in Bible origin, science and the Bible. The student will study the interpretive and critical history of the Christian Church from AD 100 to the crusades, reformation, Eschatology and issues in Christian theology.
 
TH 127 Post Graduate II: 8 Credits. (Prerequisite PGI) - This is an exegetical study of the Book of Revelation including a critical analysis of the main types of interpretation and issues in Dispensational Theology and Theism.
 
GE 128 Public Speaking I: 3 Credits. The nature of effective communication is studied. Designed to help the student become a more sensitive communicator, more knowledgeable about his/her subject, and purposeful in communicating that knowledge.
 
GE 129 Public Speaking II: 3 Credits.  (Prerequisite Public Speaking I) - This course is an advanced study, which is designed to help students with their public speaking and management of vocal monotony and stage fright. The student will develop material for presentation.
 
The Book of Romans: 6 Credits.  Designed to be studied in three parts:1." Doctrinal" which is what to believe, which focuses on righteousness required and righteousness received. 2. "National" which is Israel (natural and spiritual) focusing on righteousness rejected and 3. "Practical" which is how to behave and focuses on righteousness received. Ultimately, this course will encourage a desire within the student to re-examine his/her commitment to Christ, as well as his/her relationship with others in the Body of Christ. Monday 
 
BS The Book of St. John: 6 Credits. A verse by verse analysis of the Gospel of John. Emphasis is placed on the Deity of Christ, His life, and deeper discourses, conversations, prayers and communication. Attention will be given to its literary character in relationship to the synoptic Gospels and historical setting. and practice in the basic introductory course on the teaching ministry of the church. 
 
BS 135 Sunday School Administration II: 3 Credits. This includes biblical and theological foundations, the Ministry of the Christian Education, the organization and administration of church programs.
 
BS 136 Sunday School Administration II: 3 Credits.  Education that has been developed to work with the ministry of the local Church. Major emphasis will be given to the Home, Sunday school, Junior Church, Vacation Bible School and the Christian Day School.
 
BS 137 Teachers Training I: 8 Credits. (Prerequisite GB I & GB II) - An introduction of Psychology, Pedagogy, Daily Vacation Bible School, Administration, Curriculum Building and Advanced Teaching Techniques. Monday 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Instructor: Rogelio Douglas or Thursday 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Dr. Barbara Jackman
 
BS 138 Teachers Training II: 8 Credits. (Prerequisite TT I) - The student will begin to demonstrate the techniques learned in Teachers Training I, and learn how to choose methods appropriate to the context.  Attention will be given to the preparation of course outline and methods of evaluation will be addressed. Course assignments will lead to development and lectures. Students will participate in an actual classroom experience.
 
BS 139 The Holy Spirit & His Gifts I: 3 Credits. This course will examine the Biblical expression, in the Old Testament of the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. Discussions will center on many Old Testament characters and their relationship to the Holy Spirit's ministry.
 
BS 148 The Holy Spirit & His Gifts II: 3 Credits.  The purpose of this course is to give each student an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the Holy Spirit with regards to the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit. The student will explore the operation of each gift as it is revealed in the Old and New Testaments, and how these gifts operate in the life of the believer today.
 
BS 140 The Tabernacle of God: 6 Credits. The Tabernacle was ordained, designed and occupied by God, Himself. "And let them make Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them" Ex.25:8. The Tabernacle gives one of the few pictures of the awesomeness of the presence of a Holy God. It is descriptive of His Majesty, His Power and His Holiness. Every part of the Tabernacle, every piece of furniture, every measurement, every color and all materials direct us to the divine truths concerning the Lord and His Church. 
 
CM 141 Church Management I: 3 Credits. This course provides biblical based principles and concepts that will enable each student to become effective in the pursuit of his/her personal mission and goals. Students discover goal setting, priority development and incorporate these principles and concepts into one's lifestyle.
 
CM 142 Church Management II: 3 Credits. A detailed study of biblically based principles and concepts that will enable each leader to become more effective in the management of stewardship of his/her ministry. Courses include church/ministry management principles. The Leader's role in accomplishing the mission, goal setting for the church ministry and prioritizing agreed upon goals.
 
BS 145 The Life of Paul & Joseph: 6 Credits An examination of Paul's theological and missionary preaching, with special emphasis on Christology, salvation, ethics and eschatology. Discussions include the role of the Law, the salvation of Israel, the Church, Joseph's life, his mission and in the Christology aspects of the ministry of these great biblical leaders. Monday  
 
PSY 517 Psychology and the Christian Faith: 6 Credits. Psychological investigations of theological themes and phenomena engaged in by counselors. Consideration will be given to intra and interpersonal problems of human behavior with emphasis on biblical strategies for cultivating and integrated Christian personality.
 
TH 150 Missions: 3 Credits. An examination of Biblical Principles and techniques of beginning an effective missions program for the local Church. This course will be viewed for the perspective of both the Missionary and the Pastor.
 
Galatians/Ephesians/Philippians: 6 Credits. - Study of all three of these Pauline Epistles which contains much of the doctrine the Christian faith is built upon, especially in relationship to salvation.
