Statement of Beliefs

Doctrinal Statement

The Scriptures - We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of the original writings of the sixty-six books of the Bible: that it is the Word of God and the full and comprehensive revelation of God's will for man, the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

By this, we understand that the Holy Spirit not only inspired the thoughts of the writers but also formulated the very word structure into which the thoughts were cast, with the result that the original documents were inerrant as to fact and infallible as the truth.

The Godhead - We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These are Co-eternal, Co-identical in nature, Co-equal in power and glory, and have the same attributes and perfection.

The Person and Work of Christ - We believe that the Lord Jesus is the Divine Son of God.  He was made incarnate without a human father.  He was born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life and died a vicarious death to affect the redemption of the human race.  He arose from the dead, ascended on high and shall come again, personally and visibly to complete His saving work and to consummate the eternal plan of God.

Man's Creation And Fall - We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God.  Through Adam's sin, the whole race fell, became alienated from God and inherited a sinful nature.  He is totally separated apart from the grace of God.

Salvation - We believe that salvation is the gift of God freely offered to all men by grace and received solely by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He accomplished our complete redemption by His substitutionary death and shedding of His precious blood.
